Forestry Mod (1.16.5, 1.12.2)— More Trees, Bees, and Butterflies

The Forestry mod has a serious farming focus. Still, it’s also about other “green” things, like sustainable energy production and combining genes from different plants and trees to create better, stronger plants and trees. Some of the notable features of Forestry include automatic farms, which are self-explanatory, as well as bee breeding. Bees are essential in this mod, just like they’re important in real life, to fertilize plants and cause them to produce fruits and seeds. There are butterflies too, but they’re not the main focus of this mod. Other mods take butterflies much more seriously.

If you try Forestry and decide you like the wide variety of new plants it introduces to Minecraft; you’ll be happy to know there are add-ons to bring even more content to the game. Extra Bees and Extra Trees are compatible with Forestry, but Magic Bees can make the gameplay different since it makes the bees act differently. Gendustry also works with Forestry, mainly on the breeding aspects of the mod, to enhance that feature. If you want more trees, plants, and ways to produce energy in Minecraft, Forestry is a mod that’s worth a look.
