Progressive Automation Mod (1.12.2, 1.11.2)— Automated Mining

If you’re looking to automate some tasks in Minecraft but like the simple, primitive motif of the game, then you might like the Progressive Automation mod. Initially, you start with very simple tools that automate common tasks, like digging holes. These save you some time when you first make them, but after you progress through the tech tree and upgrade your machines as you reach higher levels, you can upgrade these tools to perform more operations and do better at the things they already know how to do. It’s in your best interests to make the improvements too.

There is a tree farm that will plant and chop trees for you, a plant farm that plants and harvests whatever you tell it to, a killing machine that attacks hostile mobs, other players, and even friendly mobs if you tell it to, and much more. That last machine is actually very nice for quickly harvesting a lot of meat and leather from cows, or killing off whatever animals you’ve herded if you need them gone for another reason. You can also use it along paths to dungeons and mining sites to protect you while you travel and act as a marker to show you the way.

Features

• Upgrades: There are 4 tiers of upgrades that will upgrade most of the machines in PA, normal range, but they may do something else. Check out the block pages to find out what they do for that block.
• RFEngine: You can put this little item into any PA machine’s fuel slot, enabling the machine to accept and run off RF power instead of solid fuel.
• Wither Tools: By infusing the energies of a nether star into basic resources, it is possible to create a version that seems to withstand a lot more durability. Using these resources, you should be able to create tools that can be used for a much longer time, but otherwise have the same properties.
• The Miner: This is a simple mining block that requires fuel and tools to run.
• The Chopper: A simple machine for creating a tree farm. It requires an axe and fuel to run.
• The Planter: A simple machine for farming various crops and other plants. It requires a hoe and fuel to run.
• The Generator: This is a simple Generator that just requires fuel to run. All tiers produce the same amount, the later tiers just produce it faster.
• The Crafter: This machine will, for the cost of a small amount of fuel, craft an item selected in the left-hand crafting grid using the items in the right-hand storage slots.
• The Capacitor: The capacitor can supply power to the red face and distribute power out to the other sides. It has a slot that can be used to fill RF engines.
