    Mega Torch & Artificial Spawning

This image shows mob spawning still works with a mega torch nearby. So your mob farms can still run while the rest of your base is safe from those pesky zombies.

    Mega Torch vs Normal Torch

The mega torch is decently sized to distinguish it from standard torches easily.

TorchMaster Mod (1.19.3, 1.18.2)— Mega Torch

Forge

Add a special torch to your home to prevent monsters from spawning with the TorchMaster mod. Keep your place safe and lighted by installing this mod.

What the Mod Offers

The mod adds a special torch that can prevent mobs from naturally spawning in a configurable radius. The torch is a little bit hard to craft and consumes two diamonds and two gold blocks. The torch only blocks natural spawning. Mob spawners will still work even when placed near the special torch.

The TorchMaster mod also dread lamp, which prevents the spawning of passive mobs and animals, as well as a new block called terrain lighter that automatically places torches in a specific area.

Should You Install It?

If you are having trouble from mobs randomly spawning near your base, you might want to install this mod and use the special torch.

Features

  • Torchmaster: Adds 3 new blocks to the game, that helps you control spawns in an area around your buildings.
  • Mega Torch: This magical torch emits light just as strong as a glowstone block (15). But the Mega Torch is not just another expensive light source, it will also prevent the spawning of hostile entities due to low light levels in a decently big radius (32 blocks by default) around the torch. So you can finally start building those dark cellars or barely lit villages without fearing an invasion of zombies at night. Keep in mind, this torch only prevents spawns from low light levels – the natural spawns.
  • The Terrain Lighter: A block that places torches in a configurable area. The Terrain Lighter needs fuel (Coal, wood, or any other furnace fuel), torches, and a Redstone signal to operate (Lever, Redstone Torch, etc). The Block helps you light up the area around you while you build your home early game. Keep in mind that the Terrain Lighter is not perfect, there might be a few spots that are not lit enough to prevent mob spawning, but it should be decent enough for all those lazy guys out there.
  • The Dread Lamp: a lamp that works similarly to the mega torch but prevents the natural spawn of passive mobs (“animals”) instead: Bat, Ocelot, Squid, Pig, Sheep, Cow, Chicken, Rabbit, Wolf, Horse (including Zombie Horse!), Llama and other Entities which implement IAnimals. Breeding animals will still work inside the working volume of the lamp! Only natural spawn will be prevented. The Lamp has a bigger range by default (64 blocks) since the lamp’s intended use is to reduce annoyances like massive squid swarms spawning around your ocean base etc.
