More Player Models Mod (1.18.2, 1.16.5)— Character Creation Screen, Animations

Forge

Ever wanted to play as a skeleton or wither? Then change your model in the game with the More Player Models mod! Created by the talented mod developer Noppes, this mod allows the players to change their avatar model at will.

What the Mod Offers

The mod adds a new character creation screen that can be accessed by pressing F12 (by default); this character creation screen allows the player to change their model into various vanilla mobs and even those outside vanilla. The game also adds more animations like sitting, dancing, waving, hugging, crying, and more, and adds nice chat bubbles to chat. On top of that, the mod also has its own tooltips and back items.

Should You Install It?

The mod makes Minecraft a lot nicer. However, most of its features can only be fully enjoyed when played on a server with the mods installed. We recommend finding an established server that is using the mod and playing with the mod installed.

Features

  • A character creation screen (F12) to change your model.
  • The ability to change into any mob.
  • Buttons: Default buttons for animations are: Z, X, C, V, and B. These buttons can be changed in the Minecraft Options > Controls. You can also change what animation is done by what button in the F6 -> Edit Buttons menu. If you are playing on a server without the plugin or mod installed, you can only do the animations you have linked to buttons. The commands won’t work.
  • More animations: Commands (/sit, /dance, /wave, /sleep, /hug, /cry, /angry, /bow, /wag, /crawl).
  • Chat bubbles: Whenever other players say things, they will display them above their heads. It’s not 100% perfect, but it should pick up most text. It can be disabled in the F6 menu.
  • Back Tool: The first item on your action bar will show on your back when you don’t have it equipped. If you want to disable this, go into the F6 menu and set the Backtool option to false.
  • Tooltip: The tooltip was a requested feature from a player. The tooltip can be set to one of the corners of the screen and will display what tool you are holding, and if it has durability, it will show that as well. You can disable this in the F6 menu as well.
  • Point of View: When you play as a different entity, or if you have scaled your model, your Point of View (PoV for short) will change. This can be disabled in the F6 menu.
  • Reload Skins: Minecraft skin servers have been known to glitch out from time to time. So when that happens, you can simply reload everyone’s skin with this. Also, it reloads your skin if you upload a new one to your Minecraft profile. This won’t reload it for other players, though. They will still see the old skin unless they reload too.

(I mean this is a super cool looking mod, and I REALLY want to use it and hope it updates someday soon, so I can play with a later version of Minecraft… But that’s exactly why I’m upset, because you got my hopes up with something SO COOL, only for it not to be available on any modern version. 🙁

Stop whining these people are doing this in their free time they don’t owe us anything.

I’ve been wanting to use this mod constantly. But the latest version isn’t where I’d like to play on minecraft. I looked at it today and it said that I could play it on 1.18 but then I go to download it and it’s unavailable. I’m fairly upset that I’ve been waiting for an update for a few years and now it’s available at most 1.13. I hope this is able to be updated soon at the more latest minecraft updates.

Wow, very cool this mod!
