Bookshelf Library Mod (1.19.4, 1.18.2)— New Utilities, Hooks, Events

Bookshelf is both a core and library mod that provides reusable codes and miscellaneous tweaks that can be used by a lot of different mods.

What the Mod Offers

Although most of these features can’t be accessed or are barely noticeable in vanilla Minecraft, the Bookshelf mod has some changes to the base game.

New Bookshelves

Perhaps the only thing you can use when installing this mod as a standalone is the new bookshelves that look exactly like the vanilla bookshelf but use the wood variant. This was supposed to be a joke feature of the mod, but was later officially added.

Crash Comments

This feature allows you to add your own comment whenever your game crash.

Additional Ore Dictionary

It fixes some issue with the ore dictionary in the vanilla game.

Adjusted Attribute Caps

Changes the cap of most values like health points, armor points, and attack damage to 1024. Although not useful in the vanilla game, this can be used by other mods to create super-powered weapons and armor.

Should You Install It?

The Bookshelf mod is used on various different mods. In itself, the mod adds a variety of bookshelves that you can use just as the vanilla one.

Features

  • Horse Armor: Easily add new horse armor to the game.
  • ItemStack Colors: Change the color of any item by using a command, or editing NBT.
  • ItemEnchantedEvent: Event for altering enchantment behavior.
  • Many utilities range from simple to complex.
