Obsidiplates Mod (1.7.10, 1.6.2)

Add new plates that players or NPCs can only activate with Obsidiplates Mod for Minecraft.

What is the Mod About?

Created by mod developer Myrathi, Obsidiplates Mod adds new types of pressure plates to the game. Depending on the materials used to create the pressure plate, the plates can be used differently. Players can activate some plates, while NPCs can only activate another plate. The new Shrouded plates are almost transparent and invisible to the eye – perfect for traps.

Should You Install it?

The mod is especially useful in Multiplayer, where pranking or setting traps are fun. The Shrouded Pressure plate is fun as it is almost invisible to players.

How to Use

All plates are a type of switch that can be placed onto the surface of a block. If connected, by wire, to an object (or placed adjacent to a block that can be powered), it will provide power to that object or block when stepped on by a player (or NPC, if a Mossy Pressure Plate) and will stop when stepped off.

As opposed to wooden and stone pressure plates, Obsidian Pressure Plates will not respond to items or NPCs, and Mossy Cobblestone Plates will not respond to items or players.

• Silent versions of these plates make no sound.
• Shrouded versions of these plates are see-through.
• Silent and Shrouded plates can only be crafted as silent first, then adding shrouded last.
